Why have I been prescribed Altavita D3 25,000 iu soft capsules?
- You may have been prescribed Altavita if your doctor feels that you are at a significant risk of Vitamin D Deficiency or that your body is facing an increased demand for Vitamin D
- Your doctor will discuss the best dose for you – this will be determined by your situation, age and the severity of the deficiency.
- Altavita is also used alongside other medicines to treat certain bone conditions, such as thinning of the bone (osteoporosis).
- It is important to take your medicine as it has been prescribed even if you feel healthy and well.
- You need a prescription from your doctor to get Altavita® D3. You can’t buy it ‘over the counter’.
